Smart Grid Library Achieve Success in the Smart Grid Ecosystem

Smart Grid:  A bi-directional electric and communications network that improves the reliability, security, and efficiency of the electric system for small- to large-scale generation, transmission, distribution, and storage.  It includes software and hardware applications for dynamic, integrated, and interoperable optimization of electric system operations, maintenance, and planning; distributed energy resources interconnection and integration; and feedback and controls at the consumer level.  (Definition from the Smart Grid Dictionary).

The Smart Grid is a vision, a collection of technologies and services, and a series of projects to upgrade our current electrical system, which is a marvelous machine that has reached its limits.  It represents a massive infrastructure investment to ensure economic and energy security, as well as a safe and comfortable quality of life for everyone.
